Immigration: Should a country allow every foreigner to enter?

Introduction

Many people get out of their country of birth and move to other countries in the orden to find better job opportunities and improve their well-being and that of their families, however, its necessary to have a permit for your stay for a certain period of time in other countries, whether or not it is necessary, they do thit with the order to carry out an entry registration in X country, in addition, they also do it so that immigrants do not arrive with bad intentions or at least present a reason for your stay in the country you have chosen for your visit or to improve your future.

However, in some countries the entry of immigrants is allowed without the need to request or grant a permit as such, they only require an identity document, and a stay of only 90 days, to stay longer in X country or if the inmigrant is looking to work, he will need a permit that must be provided by the company in which he has the employment contract.

Previously, there were some countries that did not require a passport or visa, but over the years, due to the large number of immigrants, they have chosen to carry out social control regarding immigrants as citizens of the country, in addition, many countries adopt commitments for the protection, solidarity, respect for human rights and help for refugees and immigrants.

According to the ONUand ACNUR agency for refugees and Immigrants, a global pact for safe, orderly and regular migration was established, which was adopted in 2018, which consists of establishing principles, commitments and understandings on international migration, improving the coordination of migration and international cooperation, the protection of immigrants in countries where there are conflicts and other situations of vulnerability, as well as issues related to trafficking in persons, rescue at sea, information gathering and analysis, and promotion of tolerance.

Positive aspects

  • Protection, solidarity, respect for human rights and help for refugees and immigrants.
  • Opportunities for all the people who have required to arrive in that country in order to improve their future, be it educational or work.
  • Improve the quality of life of the immigrant.
  • Upgrade labor productivity.
  • Improving the coordination of migration and international cooperation.

Negative Aspects

  • Need a permit to enter and work in X country, not everyone has the money or the way to acquire a visa.
  • Despite the fact that in many countries they work to improve the rights of immigrants every day, some of their citizens aren´t aware of it and just because they´re an immigrant they treat them unequally.
  • Language difficulties or barriers, or just for of being an immigrant treat you unequally.

Personal view and Conclusion

Unfortunately, in many countries job opportunities aren´t very accessible to everyone, that is why many people leave their native country in order to seek a better quality of life and improve their salary conditions, or whether it´s to improve their education or other things; as for whether or not all foreigners should be allowed to enter, I think that everything is fine as it is now, since if everyone is allowed to enter and leave, there wouldn´t be a control in each country, perhaps the population would increase more in some places than in others, there would be more crimes and greater inequality.

Each country adopts a series of requirements for the entry of immigrants for their control, but they also choose to help improve their living conditions and social conditions, respect for life and human rights.
